Hosting LAGOS Jewelry's 35th Anniversary for 35 fashion influences
I was honored to host LAGOS Jewelry's 35th Anniversary soiree. Thank you to the team for entrusting me with such an honor and continuously lending me fabulous jewels. Pinch me.

Sapphire and diamond necklace - LAGOS
Fetilo 120 Patent Fishnet Peep Toe Pumps Black- Christian Louboutin

Loved meeting Heather Thompson, founder of Yummie Tummie and the newest, savviest cast member of BRAVO's Real Housewives of New York

Where I Love to Shop and Eat, Los Angeles Addition

Here are three things that made my recent trip to LA even more memorable.

1. I couldn't pass up the chance to try Hot Dog on a Stick, while strolling along Santa Monica Beach. Holy omg craz-e town amazing! If my husband was around and wanted to get this I would scuff that it's unhealthy. But, now I know! NOW I've lived. A little fried hot dog does a body good.

Hot Dog on a Stick = best lunch ever
2. There's only one store like it, for now. I'm talking about Kelly Wearstler's boutique. I couldn't leave LA this time without buying something. This perforated ring came home with me. Next time, it's going to be those fabulous box clutches you see in the background.

3. I've gone bananas for boba, a starchy tapioca bead that is placed into Urth Cafe's Green Tea slushy. Yumzoos. It's the only thing I had to see/eat twice, while I was in town.

Yes, they spelled my name wrong. It happens all the time. I may as well add the "c".

Top - Diane von Furstenberg scarf ; Pants - H&M
For a casual summer look, I love wearing scarfs as tops. This halter version is my favorite style, and very easy to create.
1) Hold the scarf at each of the top ends so that that full print is facing the outside.
2) Take both ends and tie a small knot around your neck. I prefer to double knot.
3) Take the two lower ends, that are now hanging and flip the fabric in so that the seem is not shown.
4) Make a single or double knot at your waist.
5) Fluff the fabric so that it drapes nicely. Make sure the seem at the top doesn't show. If needed, use double sided sticky tape to ensure your lady friends are well protected. I recommend Hollywood Fashion Tape.

Earrings - Lagos ; Blue bangle - Ted Rossi ; Gold bangle - RJ Graziano ; Ring - Kelly Wearstler ;
Shoes - Christian Louboutin
I finally own a piece of the Kelly Wearstler brand, and I can't get enough. If you're in LA, you must visit her boutique on Melrose. If you're in NYC, check out her mini shop at Bergdorf Goodman. For everyone else, there's KellyWearstler.com

Pamela's Style Diary - 07.25.12

Skirt - Ann Taylor ; Lace top - Love on a Hanger ; Under shirt - Spanx ; Necklace - Josie Natori ; Shoes - Christian Louboutin ; Gold cuff - Robyn Rhodes
I purchased this skirt at the end of last summer, and finally got around to taking it to the tailors. It was a bit too long for my height and needed to be taken in a the back as well. Tailor, tailor, tailor!

Where to buy: Ann Taylor, Love on a Hanger, Spanx, Robyn Rhodes
Gold/Coral Ring - inherited from grandma ; Shoes - Christian Louboutin ; Necklace - Josie Natori.
This is a sentimental assortment of accessories. The ring was given to me by my grandfather, when my paternal grandmother passed away. I had it sized and love it very much. The shoes are a perfect rose gold and served as my wedding shoes. They are also the first pair of Louboutins I ever purchased. Oh, and they were about $200! The necklace weighs a ton; it's real horn that has been burned to created different shades. I saw it during previews last year, and purchased it as a silent auction hosted by The Accessories Council for $75 (as compared to the $300 price tag). It's one of my most exiting (non-diamond) pieces.

Where to buy: Josie Natori (mine is sold out, but she has other unique options)

My Coral Office

Aside from loving the color coral, and it's offshoots orange and pink, I think it's important to brand yourself around a color. Whether you're a stylist or a sales executive, having a signature hue is one of my top business tips. Pick a hue that reflects your career focus and personality and own it!

Dress - Diesel via T.J. Maxx ; Shirt - H&M ; Rubber wedges - Melissa
I believe in the power of fashion and accessories in transforming your mood. Today just called for a silly, uplifting ensemble; this bubble Diesel dress with suspenders did the trick. How can you not smile when wearing something like this? Best part, the skirt has pockets. I live for pockets on my skirts and dresses. Any other fans?

Bag - Anya Hindmarch ; Shoes - Melissa ; Cuff - Folli Follie ;
Bubble necklace - R.J. Graziano ; Charm - LAGOS
With the Olympics in London coming up this Friday, I felt the need to wear some Brits - Anya and Folli Follie.

Where to buy: Anya Hindmarch, Melissa Shoes, Folli Follie, LAGOS, R.J. Graziano

Lime green bodysuit - SportMax ; Skirt - REISS ; Shoes -Christian Louboutin
The midi skirt (hitting around the mid calf area) is all the rage, but with my 5'1 frame, it's not a look that works with my body. Being petite, one needs to be mindful of where one gets cut off. Going slightly below the knee is a much more flattering alternative and needs to be pairs with a high heel to elongate the frame. Here, I'm wearing a pleated, high waisted REISS skirt that gives off the sexy librarian vibe. It's currently on sale for $105 and it's worth every penny, especially with that gorgsous sculptured waist.

Where to buy: SportMax
Pearl bracelet - flea market find ; Green art deco-esque ring - inherited from paternal grandma ; Swarovski/python ring - Ted Rossi ; Cork shoes - Christian Louboutin

Because some days just call for three rings ...

Pamela's Style Diary - 7.20.12

Shirt - Elizabeth Daniel NY ; Jeans - Hudson ; Cuff - Rachel Brown
Colored denim is fun. If you can't decide on a color or simply want them all without spending a fortune, check out the affordable, rainbow assortment at Old Navy. And, it just occurred to me this entire look is gifts from various pr firms, except for the shoes and earrings. Lucky me!

Rain boots - dav rain / Shoes - Miu Miu via Marshalls protected by Grace Carter Shoe Covers / Earrings - The Limited / Ring - AVON
If the rain has ever prevented you from wearing your favorite pumps or sandals, Grace Carter is the answer to your shoelicious dreams. They are high-quality, road tested many times by me and proudly featured in a recent segment for NBC Miami. I can't say enough about this product.

The earrings are on permanent loan from my mother. She purchased them from The Limited in the early 80s. For years I thought they were something she brought from Russia.

The ring is an affordable find from AVON. Drusy will be a major trend for fall and holiday. If you don't want to commit, enjoy the look for  $8.99. (Available in August 2012)

Where to buy: dav rain

What my shoes see all day.

Shoes Can Change Your Life

My intern, Aly, shared this with me. Honestly, there is some truth to it. Fabulous shoes will make you feel confident and happy, and maybe in that moment you do meet Prince Charming and he sees you radiating with joy and falls in love with you... Consolation prize: a fabulous pair of shoes.

Pamela's Style Diary - 7.19.12

Top - DVF ; Shorts - Vince via Marshalls ; Shoes - Christian Louboutin
I'm a dress kind of gal. This is the first pair of shorts I've purchased since high school. They are great quality, light and lined enough so you don't see booty/undies. White fabric can be tricky, but these pass the test. Check out Vince.com or hit up your local Marshalls.
Earrings - Rebekah Lea Designs ; Bag - Prada ; Shoes - Christian Louboutin ;  Cuff - Bolbach
Where to shop: Rebekah Lea DesignBolbach.
